A Refreshing Getaway!

We just got back from a little trip into Alberta & BC . We had a great time in Banff till they forecasted 15 cm of snow…then we looked at each other & said “we’re outta here in the morning”. From there we went on to BC through the Crowsnest Pass….. It is so beautiful through there , very scenic. We were amazed at the Frank slide ….it destroyed the whole town, and all you see is huge rocks everywhere …. I’d been through there on a trip to Vancouver but things change over the years & it was nice to view it again. We got to photograph some mountain goats & big horn sheep along the way.
Coming back we were going to spend the nite in Calgary and do some shopping but again the forecast was snow…so on we went…..thought we go to Medicine Hat to escape the snow but nooooooo….. woke up to 5 inches of it. We had left the snow scraper at home …so there we were ….freezing rain & then snow made the windshield pretty crappy…. Imagine this without laughing….Jimmy had a small piece of 2×4 in the back of the truck…so there he was scrapping the window off with this 2×4… Crazy! I can’t complain to much we had a fantastic time & for the most part the weather was nice.

We photographed alot of aminals …but these little guys were soo cute! You could walk right up to them.

I think this old tree is so neat!!

This is suppose to be the biggest truck in Canada…. look at the arrow – he’s 6 foot tall & he looks so small compared to the truck. WOW!!

These are the wind binds ….there are miles of them going into the Crowsnest Pass from Fort McLeod.

Our motel in Banff….It was a great place…feather tick mattress, fantastic!
