I’m getting a wee bit behind with my posting but I’m playing catch-up! I had the honor of documenting Melanie and Ken’s beautiful wedding at the Blue Lakes Resort in the Duck Mountains. I even enjoyed the drive up there… seen some deer & little critters. I am not even sure where to begin. The weather was perfect ….the ceremony location was incredible, on a dock on the lake. It was a blessing stone ceremony… I’d never seem that before . Melanie’s parents own the resort , so needless to say we had our pick of locations. Mel and Ken are two of the most genuine people I have met. They have such love and respect for not only each other, but for all those around them and you can’t help but feel as if you’ve known them for years. I loved how they were constantly looking at each other, you know, with that look that you see on couples who are just in this other world: their own. Weddings are so romantic and I am just a softy!

Melanie’s Mom and friend went out in the her flower garden and picked a bouquet of flowers for her.
The ceremony on the lake shore was so refreshing , a cool breeze and fish jumping along side. It was a stone ceremomy so everyone made a wish for Mel and Ken , then came to the shore & threw their stones into the water. It was so different from the more traditional weddings.

Letter from the bride when she received her album…
“Hi Carol,
The photos look amazing!!!!
Thank you
Melanie
